History

Early Days

Blues, Flamenco, Jazz and Hard Rock are the styles that most influenced
his musical formation. 
In the late 60's he had toured England and Europe, played the Roundhouse
and Middle Earth Covent Garden.

Formed the ODD LOT CLUB which attracted known bands, including
his resident ODD LOT BAND.

He was resident at the 100 CLUB, OXFORD ST., LONDON. Supported
Deep Purple, The Hollies and Chris Farlowe.

Played on stage with John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson.

Toured Europe with Liverpool band CASEY JONES and THE GOVERNOR'S.

Lived with gypsies and gained knowledge from Manitas-De-Plata. 
Musical director of theatre group Welfare State International 
(Engineers of the Imagination).

His IMAGINARY SEASONS CD was nominated for 
THE MERCURY MUSIC AWARD.

UNKNOWN PUBLIC released a CD called ECLECTIC GUITARS
with
FRANK ZAPPA,
ROBERT FRIPP,
BILL FRISELL &
JOHN ZORN,
including a GP HALL track called SANDSTORM which received critical acclaim.

He performed with great success at the
SOUTH BANK
QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL,
LONDON
on the 28.9.96 as part of the ECLECTIC GUITARS promotion called Unknown Public Holiday.

1997

In 1997 he was performing at The SPITZ, London and the Bath Fringe festival.

In September 1997 he toured the Western Isles of Lewis and Sky,
performing a commissioned work called Sea Sorrow.
September 97 Hall was at the ISLE OF LEWIS and HARRIS island where he
performed a commissioned piece called SEA SORROW (Lament of Lewis).
with several local islanders Commissioned by David Sykes with local sponsorship
and Recorded at Lewis Town Hall by Douglas Ledbetter about a major sea
tragedy that happened at the end of the first world war. 
The men were going home after serving in the war on the Iolaire ship... when 
on stormy night on new years evening in 1918 when it struck a rock just
half a mile off shore and sank...205 men lost there lives. Only 75 survived.

1997 a CD released from FUTURE MUSIC RECORDS called MAR-DEL-PLATA. 
jazz for world wide distribution. plus a article in AVANT magazine NO3 
called THE LONELY ROAD plus a sampler track on the free CD that comes with 
AVANT called IONIAN WATER.

1997 a LIVE CD called MARKS ON THE AIR recorded live at The Spitz 
London and The Phantom Theatre Wiltshire during a six month period recorded
by Mike Skeet for E B L.

1998

A excellent review in THE TIMES by CHRIS PARKER of MARKS ON THE AIR 
on FRIDAY 16th January 1998 plus many other very positive reviews in 
magazines world wide, in FEB/MARCH/APRIL 1998 and many exceptional reviews 
on internet websites.

AVANT N0 5 use the track MAR-DEL-PLATA on sampler CD.

F.M.R act as distribution agents as well as HARMONIA MUNDI for
 IMAGINARY SEASONS and MARKS ON THE AIR:

1998 A double CD called STEEL STORMS & TENDER SPIRITS released by 
Future Music Records to much acclaim in The Times, and other national papers
both in UK and abroad

FMR use "Shooting Stars" track on sampler CD

Touring for the next 5 years both in the UK and abroad. I plan to go to
European venues and art centers, playing small improvising music/jazz 
clubs.
